NEPSE Portfolio Tracker: Holdings, P&L & Allocation, Free
Your holdings, honestly counted
This free NEPSE portfolio tracker keeps your holdings honestly counted: record buys and sells, track average cost, unrealized and realized P&L, allocation across securities and sectors, and print a clean report. Unlimited holdings, no login — everything stays in your own browser, never on our servers.
Portfolio at a glance
The portfolio's own totals — invested, current value, and profit or loss — priced from the latest batch. This is the hero of the page: your money, honestly counted.
Loading market data…
Holdings, sells, and snapshots never leave this browser. Prices refresh on a market-aware cadence (every 15 minutes in session, 30 minutes outside it, 2 hours on weekends) and this line updates on every check, including failures.
Add a holding
Search any listed security, enter the quantity and the price you paid. Adding more of a security you already hold updates its weighted average cost.
Record a purchase
Holdings
Unrealized P&L is quantity times today’s batch price minus your average cost. A holding with no price in the latest batch shows – and is left out of the totals.
| Security | Qty | Avg cost | LTP | Day | Value | P&L | P&L bar | Actions |
|---|
No holdings yet.
A portfolio starts with the first buy you record. Add a holding above with the quantity and the price you paid, and the ledger takes it from there.
Allocation
Where your money sits, by holding and by sector, as a share of priced portfolio value.
Stocks by sector
Every stock in the sector you pick, priced from the latest batch. Use Add to prefill the holding form — it never adds anything on its own.
Sector labels come from the verdicts batch — universe entries carry no sector field, so a stock with no verdict sector shows under Others.
| Symbol | Name | Close | Day | Batch | Add |
|---|
No stocks in this sector in the latest batch.
Analytics
A few honest facts about the portfolio, computed from the same ledger above.
Portfolio history
One snapshot per session of this portfolio's value and P&L, recorded in this browser only. The chart grows as sessions land — nothing is drawn before it exists.
| Session | Value | Invested | Unrealized P&L | Realized P&L |
|---|
Against the market
Your portfolio's return against NEPSE over the same window — from your first recorded snapshot session to your latest one. Realized outcomes only, never a forecast.
Holding outcomes
Each holding, categorized by what actually happened: win or loss against what you paid, and beat or trailed NEPSE since your first snapshot session. Missing prices show as –, never guessed.
| Symbol | Since cost | Since first snapshot | NEPSE same window | Outcome |
|---|
Holding prices at the first snapshot session come from the published per-symbol history files; a holding with no bar on or before that date shows – for the window return.
Recorded sales
Every sale you record lands here with its realized P&L, computed against the average cost at the time of sale.
| Date | Security | Qty | Sell price | Avg cost | Realized P&L |
|---|
No sales recorded yet. Use the Sell button on any holding to record one.
Private by design
Portfolios are stored only in this browser's local storage. Clearing site data removes them, and they never sync to another device.
Unlimited, free
Keep as many portfolios and holdings as you like. No tiers, no locked rows, no premium ledger.
Honest math
Weighted average cost, realized and unrealized P&L, allocation. Missing prices show as –, never guessed. Educational, not advice.

About the NEPSE portfolio tracker
The NEPSE portfolio tracker keeps your holdings honestly counted. Add any listed security with the quantity you bought and the price you paid; adding more of a security you already hold updates its weighted average cost. The holdings table shows your average cost, the latest batch price, market value and unrealized P&L per line, so every rupee is accounted for.
Recorded sales land in their own ledger with realized P&L computed against the average cost at the time of sale. Allocation views break your portfolio across securities and sectors so concentration is visible at a glance, the analytics panel summarizes winners, losers and overall return, and a printable report button produces a clean one-page summary for your records.
Your data never leaves your device: holdings are saved in your browser’s local storage, not on any server, and there is no account to create. Prices come from the latest daily batch — during market hours they can lag the live market, and a holding with no price in the latest batch shows as – and is left out of the totals rather than guessed.
This is bookkeeping, not advice. The tracker does the arithmetic; it never tells you what to buy or sell. All P&L figures are mechanical outputs for education — verify everything against your broker’s statements before acting on it.
Portfolio tracker questions
Where is my portfolio data stored?
Only in your own browser, using local storage. Nothing is uploaded to any server and no account is needed — but clearing your browser data will erase it, so the printable report is there for your records.
How is average cost calculated?
Weighted average cost: the total amount paid for a security divided by the total quantity held. Each new buy updates it; each recorded sale computes realized P&L against the average cost at the time of sale.
Are portfolio prices real-time?
No. Prices come from the latest daily batch, which can lag during trading hours. NEPSE publishes no free official real-time API, so community mirrors and batch data may be delayed.
Is this investment advice?
No. The tracker is arithmetic for education — it never recommends buying or selling. Verify figures with your broker before any decision.
